Tatum Havens

Major: Finance
Tatum Havens is a Business Marketing major from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She came to ECU as a member of the Business Scholar Program in the Stonecipher School of Business. She joined the Business Leaders Association, and is key member of the ECU Women’s Basketball Team playing in all 26 games year. She is active in multiple on-campus church organizations and enjoys participating in those. Her future career goals include being involved in collegiate or professional athletics program with an emphasis in marketing.
 

LANGSTON UNIVERSITY

Tayren James

Major: Finance

Tayren James, a junior finance major has consistently excelled in her academic pursuits, maintaining an impressive 3.7 GPA while pursuing a degree as a McCabe Honors student at Langston University. Recently, she has achieved a remarkable milestone by being selected as the recipient of Langston’s Presidents Honor Award. This recognition not only reflects her academic prowess but also highlights her commitment to excellence in the field of finance.

In addition to her academic achievements, Tayren is actively engaged in campus life, serving as the Vice President of Langston University's Scholars Club, and an active member of several other organizations, including the NAACP, Women of Purpose, and the Langston Choir. With a strong interest in finance, she plans to obtain her CPA license and embark on a successful career in the business world. Tayren’s dedication to academic excellence, leadership, and community service makes her stand as another future pioneer of Langston University.

 
 

OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

Sarah Black

Major: Finance
Sarah Black is a Junior Business Finance major from Edmond, Oklahoma. She is currently attending Oklahoma Baptist University and plans to graduate in May 2025.
 
Within the academic realm, Sarah is a dedicated student with a passion for learning. She is a member of the OBU Honors program, Delta Mu Delta, and the Salt and Light Leadership Training program. Sarah additionally works as a mentor at the on-campus student success center where she assists fellow students with writing and business assignments.
 
Sarah’s campus engagement extends past the academic realm. Throughout her time at OBU, she has been a section leader in the marching band. Sarah serves as the vice president of Age 2 Age, a student ministry facilitating meaningful interactions between students and residents of a local retirement home. Additionally, she holds the position of treasurer in Kappa Phi Beta.
 
 

OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY

Sophia Mae Smith

Major: Accounting
Sophia Mae Smith is from Ruston, Louisiana and attends Oklahoma Christian University where she is pursuing a Bachelor in Accounting. At Oklahoma Christian, she is a member of the NCAA Volleyball team and an officer for Gamma Rho Social Service Club. After graduation, she hopes to become a CPA.
 
Sophia enjoys being involved at Crossings Community Church where she also serves on Sundays as an elementary class teacher. Many people have invested in Sophia and pushed her to work hard, be excellent, and ultimately seek to glorify God in all that she does. Her ultimate goal is to do just that, glorify God in the way that she leads and stewards all the opportunities she has to the best of her ability. She is honored to receive this scholarship and is grateful for Oklahoma Christian and the College of Business.
 
 

OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY

Christopher Hood

Major: Finance and Economics
Christopher Hood was born and raised in Oklahoma, and fittingly, now attends Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University. He is a Sophomore pursuing a double major in finance and economics, and plans to attend graduate school to further his education.
 
After schooling, Christopher hopes to either open his own consulting firm or work in investment banking. Outside of school, he currently work at the Steve Agee Economic Research and Policy Institute as a research assistant and is currently preparing for a summer internship with Devon Energy. Christopher is also an active member in his fraternity, Kappa Sigma.
 
 

OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY

Sidney Riedl

Major: Economics
Sidney Riedl is from Inola, Oklahoma, and is majoring in Economics at Oklahoma State University where she is currently the Secretary of the Economics Society. She is a member of the Honors College and has been recognized as a Spears Scholar Leader, which is a highly competitive program within the business school.
 
Sidney has recently accepted a position as a teaching assistant to an economics professor for the next school year. This summer, she will be participating in a new internship program at Bank of the Panhandle in Guymon, Oklahoma. Following graduation, Sidney plans to attend graduate school to get her M.B.A. and pursue a career as a financial analyst.
 
 

SOUTHERN NAZARENE UNIVERSITY

Chase Hudson

Major: Finance
Chase Hudson is from Bixby, Oklahoma and went to High School at Lincoln Christian in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After Lincoln, Chase attended Connors State College for two years and played baseball while earning his associate's degree. After Connors, Chase transferred to Southern Nazarene University, and currently completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, while also playing baseball.
 
Chase's post-college plan is to become a Financial Advisor and work alongside his father, John Hudson, in helping others reach their financial goals. When he is not studying or playing baseball, Chase enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his fiancée, Abigail. Chase is extremely grateful and blessed to receive this honor and would like to thank everyone involved for this opportunity.
 
 

UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

Camden Pendleton

Major: Economics and Finance
Camden Pendleton attends the University of Central Oklahoma and is majoring in economics and finance. He plans to go into finance and eventually end up in investment banking. Originally from Frisco, Texas, he played competitive ice hockey for 18 years and plays for the team at UCO. Camden's parents worked very hard to support his athletics and education growing up so this scholarship means so much to me.

Elizabeth Duncan

Major: Economics and Finance
Elizabeth Duncan is from Orange, California. She is a representative of the Undergraduate Student Congress and an operation staff member of the Big Event. She is also a member of the Multicultural Business Program and volunteers with the Blood Drive in my free time.
 
Elizabeth will be interning with Valero this upcoming summer and will be graduating in May 2025. After graduation, he is planning on obtaining her MBA. Elizabeth is truly inspired by the commitment of the Economic Club of Oklahoma to foster educational achievements and support students like her. She sends her sincere thanks for the club's generosity and for investing in her future.
